ADESA, the US remarketing giant, is planning to step up its UK activities following its acquisition of GRS Remarketing last year from the Greenhous Group.
The company has rebranded GRS as ADESA UK and has begun to rollout online remarketing services for dealer groups, leasing companies and fleets. It confirmed it already has a number of top 50 dealer groups signed up to its service.

The company retained GRS’ management team and staff and has increased its headcount to 85. Heading up the Chester-based UK operation is former Manheim director Jonathan Holland who said the company will provide an alternative online remarketing route to physical auctions.
A key part of the business’ strategy would be the roll out of revoltionary technology TradeRev, an online joint venture platform developed by Canadian dealer group boss Mark Endras and used extensively in Canada and America.
“TradeRev is a mobile appraisal and online selling app designed by dealers for dealers. It’s a key component of our strategy in the UK under the UPSTREAM umbrella.”
ADESA UK is assessing other products and services it will introduce from KAR Auction Services, its US parent, and is currently evaluating opportunities for OPENLANE, a white label tool for OEMs to remarket PCP financed cars through their dealer networks.
